How to Apply for a Disabled Veterans School Grant

I am a united states army veteran and in 2004 I became disabled. I applied for and received a school grant for disabled veterans. The disabled veterans school grant is for united states veterans from any branch of service who became disabled while in the service or after their service time. As long as you are a disabled veteran then you can apply for the disabled veterans school grant by following the simple instructions in this article.

Applying for the Disabled Veterans School Grant.

The first step in applying for the disabled veterans school grant is to contact the Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office Division. You can call them at: 1-800-827-1000

Next, once you are connected with the Department of Veterans Affairs, inform them that you are a disabled veteran and that you do have a honorable discharge from the united states military and that you are interested in applying for the disabled veterans school grant.

Next, the Department of Veterans Affairs will then see if you qualify and then take down the rest of your personal information and send you the disabled veterans school grant application package to your mailing address.

Next, completely fill out and complete the disabled veterans school grant application. Look over the application for mistakes and correct any if needed.

Lastly, make a copy of your honorable discharge and take the completed disabled veterans school grant application with the copy of your honorable discharge to your nearest Veterans Affairs regional office. They will then let you know how long the process will be before you get an answer on your disabled veterans school grant application.

All cities have a Veterans Affairs Regional office. You can look in your local phone book under the government section or you can call directory assistance and ask for the phone number to the closest veterans affairs regional office to get directions.
