How to Find a VA Hospital

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is a benefit system for veterans, their families and survivors that is run by the federal government. As part of the benefit system, the VA owns and operates many VA hospitals across the country. If you are trying to find a VA hospital, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs offers an online facility locator tool you can use to find a VA hospital in your area.

Open a Web browser on your computer and go to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs online facility locator tool (see Resources).

Select the "Hospitals" option from the "Facility" drop-down menu.

Select the option to either display the "Nearest 5 Facilities" or facilities "Within 50 miles."

Enter your current zip code.

Click the "Go" button. The VA's facility locator tool will display the VA hospitals that match your search query.
